Matchless G50

Part of the showroom

Jim Gleave, proprietor of Atlantic Motor Cycles, has a good engineering background and 12 years in motor racing, which by the way, included the discovery and launch of James Hunt as a racing driver, who went on to become World Champion in 1976. A fair success was achieved in managing and maintaining racecars for private entrants, and the design and building of our own Formula Ford and Formula 3 racing cars.

The birth of ATLANTIC MOTOR CYCLES

1978 saw a change of direction to Classic Motor Cycles. After seeing an advertisement in a bike magazine for the sale of a collection of British bikes in America, Jim Gleave booked a flight to Boston and there purchased a quantity of motorcycles.

For the past 23 years we have logged up the sale of over 3,000 classic machines. It has been our policy always to aim for the top end of the market by selling quality road, rare and racing bikes, erring heavily towards the 'racing'.
